Das Projekt befasst sich mit der Nachnutzung innerstädtischen Eigentums sowie der Lebensmittelversorgung und dem bewußterem Umgang mit diesem in der städtischen Gesellschaft.

Laut bayerischer Bauordnung BayBO Art. 47 sind für jede Nutzung eine bestimmte Anzahl von Parkplätzen für PKWs herzustellen. Ausgehend von der aktuellen Klimadebatte und dem Umbau der Städte wieder zurück auf eine menschliches Maß wirkt der Artikel mehr als antiquiert. Dort wo Autos sind ist kein Platz für anderes. Dort wo Autos sind spielen keine Kinder, spazieren keine Fußgänger wächst keine Pflanze, gehört die Stadt nicht ihren Bewohnern.

Die erste Umsetzung erfährt das Projekt zum Parking Day 2019. Über 200 Jungpflanzen ersetzen den Parkplatz und bauen sich selbst wieder ab. Die Pflanzen wurden an Passanten verschenkt. Der Pflanztopf ist mit humusreicher Erde gefüllt, so, dass der Endiviensalat problemlos zu seiner gesamten Größe bis ca. November heranwachsen kann.

Bei einem optimalen Pflanzabstand können auf einem Parkplatz über 130 Salatköpfe gezogen werden.

The project addresses the reuse of inner-city property in association with food supply and a conscious approach to its consumption in an urban environment.

According to the 47^th clause of the Bavarian building regulation (BayBO Art. 47), each type of property requires a certain number of car parking spaces. Based on the current climate debate and the reorganisation of cities according to a more human scale, this clause is hopelessly outdated. Where there are cars, there is no room for anything else. Where there are cars, there is no space for children to play, pedestrians to walk, plants to grow and as a result the city does not belong to its inhabitants.

The first implementation of the project took place on Parking Day 2019. More than 200 seedlings replace a car parking space and eventually decompose. Passers-by receive the plants as gifts. The pots are filled with humus-rich soil so that the endive can easily grow to its full size by about November. Placed at a perfect distance, 130 lettuces can grow on one car parking space.
